About Keswick in Cumbria

Keswick is a market town and civil parish in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. Historically in Cumberland, Keswick is the second largest town in the Lake District after Windermere. Keswick is located just north of Derwentwater and is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking, mountaineering, cycling and canoeing. The town has a number of tourist attractions including the Keswick Museum and Art Gallery, the Cumberland Pencil Museum and the Derwentwater Visitor Centre. Keswick also has a thriving theatre and live music scene, and hosts the annual Keswick Jazz Festival and the Keswick Mountain Festival.
