Wooler is a small town in Northumberland, England. It is situated on the edge of the Cheviot Hills, on the River Glen, and has a population of around 2,000 people. The town is a popular tourist destination, due to its proximity to the hills and its many historic buildings. These include the 12th century Wooler Church, the 14th century Market Cross, and the 17th century Hexham Old Gaol. Wooler also has a number of shops, pubs, and restaurants, as well as a golf course and a swimming pool.
